2011 Spring/Summer Grant Guidelines

Humble Arts Foundation established the New Photography Grant in 2007 to help support fine art photography projects in the U.S. and abroad.

How the Grant Works
Given twice annually (fall and spring), the grant is a $1,000 cash award that recognizes the strongest new proposal in contemporary art photography as submitted to Humble Arts Foundation.

$3,000 and WIP online solo show in September. One awarded.

WIP–LTI/Lightside Materials Grant
$1,000 in Kodak materials selected by the grant recipient. One awarded.

the 2nd annual 2010 WIP-LTI/Lightside Individual Project Grant in the amount of $3000 goes to Angela Strassheim for her project Evidence.

the 2010 WIP- LTI/Lightside Materials Grant, providing $1000 in artists choice of Kodak materials has been awarded to Tiana Markova-Gold for her project documenting social issues surrounding sex workers in Macedonia.

The recipient of the WIP-Lightside Individual Project Grant in the amount of $3,000 is Erika Larsen for her project Sami, The People. Her solo show on wipnyc.org will launch June 16th with images from the project. More information about her project and Erika will be presented at that time. www.erikalarsenphoto.com

The recipient of the WIP-Lightside Individual Project Grant Runner Up prize in the amount of $500 is Erica Allen for her project Untitled Gentleman. Women in Photography - Annouces “Project Grant” :

"Amy & I are super excited to announce the first ever wipnyc grant. Yes, like the site, you must be a “women in photography” to apply. There will be a small $20 processing fee. Overall we are thrilled to be able to contribute to the art community this way. Will look forward to seeing all of the exciting projects, and as of April 1st, there will be more specific info on submitting. Good luck!"

The $3,000 grant award will provide funding to one photographer to support project costs. Opens: Wednesday April 1, 2009 12am. Link to online application will be made available on the website.
